Rules and Guidelines

    This is the list of rules your submission(s) must adhere to.
    Please read through everything here carefully to help us ensure that everyone has a great bjyx week!

    • This event is bjyx dynamic focused and welcomes works of any rating.

    • Any & all mediums will be accepted: fic, fanart, videos, whatever you’re inspired with, if it’s for #bjyx_week2022 and adheres to a day's theme & the event's focus, we’re excited for it.

    • Any language welcome! Feel free to participate in your language of choice, just follow other rules of fest.

    • Original content only. Everything you submit must be of your own creation and made for this event. Reposts of old art or plagiarizing anybody else’s work will be rejected from the event. If you see any instances of this rule being broken, please bring it to the mods’ attention asap!

    • Don’t forget to tag your submission(s) with the #bjyxweek2022 tag (& make sure it’s included within your first few tags so that we’ll be able to find it!) and tag which day the post is for (ex: #day1) By tagging it #bjyxweek2022 when using Twitter or in our collection on Ao3, we can see it and help promote it!

    • If you have a collaborative work, make sure to credit everyone involved in its creation when you post/submit your work. If you’re using art or edits within your fic, for example, you should make sure you’ve received permission and that the artist is credited within.

    • As this week is a festive event celebrating YiZhan, make sure to add the appropriate warnings if your submission contains sensitive or potentially triggering content, such as character death, gore, violence, underage content, non-con, and so forth. Submissions that don’t have all of the appropriate warnings will be removed from collection & will need to be re-tagged/resubmitted.

    • If your contribution is mature or explicit on Twitter, tag it as #NSFW so it may be enjoyed appropriately and use the sensitive content blur.

    • We ask anyone under 18 to refrain from posting any mature or explicit submissions. If anyone is aware of anyone in violation, please let mods know immediately.

    • As a given, any and all hate or spam will be promptly removed.

    • You may not use the event for any kind of commercial purposes. Any submissions violating these rules will be rejected. As an extension of this rule, we will also not reblog any kind of sales-related posts.

    • Any issues not addressed here or in our FAQ should be directed to mods.

    FAQ

    What does bjyx dynamic mean?

    Top Wang Yibo, Bottom Xiao Zhan when/if penetrative sex is featured. That’s it.
    If you have any questions about specifics of what that means, just ask the mods.

    What if my G/T rated fic seems more neutral?

    That’s perfectly fine! It doesn’t have to refer to bjyx specifically. It just shouldn’t allude to another dynamic. Otherwise, you created it and you’re submitting it to this fest, so it fits.

    I’m worried my work doesn't have a “bjyx vibe.”

    See first question to FAQ. As long as your intention is bjyx and it fits the rules, then don't worry. We want to welcome everyone.

    How does this prompt week work?

    Each day has a daily overarching theme, a red/green prompt, and an optional AU/trope.
    You can work with the any of the themes, prompts, or tropes individually or together, however you choose. Mix and match (or don't) within a single day as much as inspires you.

    Can I use a current WIP, write a prequel/sequel or submit a completed fic?

    It should be a new fic for the event. If you have an unpublished WIP that fits, great, it’s still a new fic since it wasn't published prior. Please don’t re-purpose previously posted fic and add it to the collection.
    If it’s in the same universe as a previously posted fic, such as a prequel or sequel, that’s fine as long as it’s a new work and the overall universe fits the rules and focus of the fest. This does mean that the series as a whole needs to be bjyx focused.

    Can I write a chaptered fic?

    Sure! Please do!

    I don’t have an Ao3 account, can I still participate in the event?

    You can participate on Twitter with your Twitter account and post art or threadfics there, but if you want to be part of the Ao3 collection, you’ll need an account. If you need an invitation, email mods and we'll assist.

    I'm interested but I've never done anything like this and I'm nervous.

    Feel free to reach out to a mod for support or encouragement, but this is not a high stakes event. We're just here to write about YiZhan. If you see a prompt that inspires you, we hope you join!

    I have an issue that isn't addressed here.
